Ros Ford RWA, ARE is a painter and printmaker based in Bristol.

Inspired by the unordered, the overlooked and the sideshows of life, her work is about functional structures and buildings that are often unnoticed.

Her recent etchings are based on hidden industrial landscapes close to her home and studio as well as Wales and Italy. She makes drawings and photographs on location that she develops into series of prints and paintings. She works at BV Studios, Bristol and has won national prizes and awards for her work.

Her prints and paintings are exhibited, collected and held in public and private collections in the UK and internationally. She undertakes commissions and residencies, teaches drawing and printmaking and has founded and co-ordinated art events

Selected for Print Rebels box set of prints which will go to the major national collections.
This exhibition celebrates the 200th anniversary of the birth of the founder and first President of the Royal Society of Painter-Printmakers, Francis Seymour Haden. Prints by Haden and those who inspired him including Rembrandt and Durer will be included, along with works by his contemporaries including Samuel Palmer and JAM Whistler; members of the RA who were closely associated with the RE and current members of the RE responding directly to their Society’s heritage.
